The annual burlesque benefit, The Grand Exhibition, in aid of Rape Crisis, will take place at the Star Theatre at the District Six Homecoming Centre on Saturday August 24.
The Rouge Revue hosted the first TGE in Cape Town in 2015 and raised R215 000 for its chosen charity, Rape Crisis Cape Town Trust, since it’s inception.
Themed Where Beauty Meets Benevolence this year, the aim of the event is to unite the burlesque community for a good cause.
Performers include Baby Ray, Betty Behave, Bon Bon, Kojak Wylder, Lady Magnolia, Lady Magnolia’s Bevy Of Beauties, Mademoiselle Demi Monde, Mikky George, Mila Marguerita, Ms. Lupay Brown, Nubia, Scar-Lit Hearts, Sweet Alyssum, The Rebel Sons and The Rougettes.
Doors open at 6.30pm, an the show starts at 8pm.
Tickets cost R250 and can be bought through Quicket. There will also be a raffle, which costs R50, with prizes to be won.
