Gospel music powerhouse Joyous Celebration will be lighting up the big screen when one of their concerts will be played at selected Nu Metro cinemas.
The internationally-acclaimed ensemble will premiere their Joyous Celebrations 22 All For You Extreme Cinema Experience tomorrow, Friday April 27.
The film showcases songs and dance routines in the Joyous Celebration way and provides viewers with 110 minutes of entertainment.
Production manager Sharif Baker said the Joyous Celebration live recording will pay homage to the thousands of Joyous fans and supporters across the globe who have stuck with them for the past 22 years. It also gives praise and glory to God.
“The (film) captures the spirit of the live event through the 46 camera angles used to re-edit and master this musical concert film, resulting in a movie finish, high definition (HD) offering complemented by crystal clear, 7.1 surround sound,” he said at the launch in Cape Town last week.
Founder and lead singer of the group, Pastor Jabu Hlongwane reiterated Mr Baker’s sentiments and said: “This is going to be the first time that our fans will witness us from all angles in a crisp, clear high definition video. Our fans will be transported onto stage, being part of the production and live event.
“Although the Joyous 22 DVD already captures the best of MTN Joyous Celebrations’ performance, the concert film is set to surpass expectations by far as the audience is exposed to rare dimensions of our stage act.”
Pastor Hlongwane said the fans will enjoy their favourite ensemble and its music in the comfort of a cinema with pristine picture and sound that is set to keep them on their feet, which is nothing short of the standard expectation of every Joyous Celebration concert.
