Bra Algoa Njingolo has made a song praising former Miss South Africa, Zozibini Tunzi.
Site B kwaito artist Olwethu Njingolo, who goes by the stage name of Bra Algoa, has released a single praising Miss World and former Miss South Africa Zozibini Tunzi.
The up-and-coming musician said he was inspired by Zozibini’s humble beginnings and tenacity.
“She is representing our country well and the fact that she entered the pageant twice before winning it shows that she is a determined person,” he said.
Bra Algoa honed his singing skills in Queenstown where he grew up before moving to the Mother City in the late 2000s.
“I started music when I was doing Grade 6 in 2002 and I was inspired by the late Brown Dash who ruled the kwaito waves with his artistic talents. I then decided to write my own songs but I didn't record even one song on that time,” he said.
His first performance was in 2004 during a school fundraising act and he performed free style and after that he met Queenstown DJs Quje and Athie who gave him a studio session where he recorded his first single song, Amarhymes in 2010.
After a long break he started writing songs in 2018 and met Xtina from Mike Journey Records who helped produce his first EP called Ndiyanqonqoza.
