Smooth crooner Ringo Madlingozi is set to perform his classic hits and romantic melodies, during the month of love at Ringo's Valentine's Xperience.
Taking place under the Big Top Arena at Carnival City on Saturday, February 15, 2025, the concert is an ideal evening for couples seeking a night filled with love and music.
Themed “Hello Sthandwa Sam”—translated to “Hello, My Love”—this evening will be the ultimate celebration of romance.
Known for his hits “Sondela”, “Into Yam”, “Ndiyagodola” and “Kum Nakum”, Madlingozi on Valentine’s Day will be releasing a new single “Nomsa” from his upcoming album “Ikhwelo” which will be released on April 25, 2025.
Madlingozi first gained fame in 1986 when he and his band, Peto, won the “Shell Road to Fame” contest. He later formed a group called Gecko Moon with Alan Cameron, another member of Peto, and one of their popular songs was “Green-Green.”
In the late 1990s, he collaborated with the internationally acclaimed group UB40 as part of a United Nations Global AIDS awareness program, where he recorded Xhosa lyrics for "Cover Up."
Over the years, Madlingozi has received multiple awards for his albums, including more recently, the South African Music Awards’ Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Ringo's Valentine's Xperience includes dishes curated to match the occasion and premium beverages to toast to.
