Children had a chance to express themselves artistically.
School children enjoyed an activity-packed holiday programme at Kuyasa library.
Assistant librarian Sisonke Mengcane said the focus of the programme was on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and reading.
Children were introduced to technology and taught efficient usage of computers and given a peek into online educational games.
On the last day, the children moved to Solomon Mahlangu hall where they took part in sporting activities.
“Our integrated programme was a huge success with all outdoor and indoor games. The children enjoyed every moment. We look forward to many more activities to keep our young readers safe and active,” said Mr Mengcane.
The library hosts storytelling and chess clinics on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
“These are breathtaking moments for little ones, we nurture passion for reading through stories and educational games,” he added.
