Kasi celebrates 40 years of determination and resilience

In a jubilant display of unity and celebration, Khayelitsha marked a historic occasion as it commemorated 40 years of progress, strength, and community spirit.

The celebratory event, hosted by Radio Zibonele FM in collaboration with the Khayelitsha Community Trust, was a testament to the remarkable journey of this vibrant community.

The festivities kicked off with businesses and community leaders gathered at the Lookout Hill to honour four decades of growth and resilience, with a few more activities and events planned for early 2024.

Deputy mayor Eddie Andrews and Thembinkosi Siganda, senior manager in the Enterprise and Investment Department who oversees a number of business units and programmes, including workforce development, business climate services, economic inclusion and small business support, attended the event.
