Seven people, who work at the Khayelitsha Licence Testing Centre, have been arrested by the Hawks today.
The suspects, six administrative staff members and a security guard, have been arrested on charges of fraud and corruption.
They will appear in court soon.
The City of Cape Town has commended the Hawks for their investigation.
Mayoral committee member for safety and security; and social services JP Smith said; “Internal disciplinary processes will run parallel to the criminal process. The staff members will be served with pre-suspension notices once they have appeared in court.”
