Langa-born, Gugulethu-raised and Khayelitsha-based Loyiso Koyana is an innovator, leadership coach, and social entrepreneur with a passion for community advancement.
And this month he is launching his autobiography.
Finding uLoyiso eLokshini is a coming-of-age story about growing up in the township at the height of Apartheid. He writes about his primary school years and the enduring friendships; his high school years during which he discovered his love for sport and his ventures in entrepreneurship.
“This book is a dedication to my late mother, a gift for my kids to learn more about my life and successes in the survival in the townships, unlike the father I never knew.
“I want this book to reach as many people as possible with a recipe of not giving up”.
Mr Koyana has also reached one of his Dream by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa and has worked around the world with organisations such as Educo Africa, Sidlala Sifunda, Boston University, and TsiBA Education, among others.
