The excited roar of rugby fans reverberated through Langa sports complex this past weekend when rivals Busy Bees and Langa faced off in their first encounter of the Super League C season.
It was a derby that truly lived up to the expectation one would have from a match between two closely-knit teams.
With Langa's relegation from Super League B a season ago, the two Langa outfits now find themselves as rivals sharing the same home ground.
Busy Bees emerged victorious at the weekend, with a close 20–17 scoreline in a game that was as tight as the final score suggested.

For a side that played in the upper division a season ago, Langa has surprisingly struggled to find their rhythm in the Super League C.
After six outings, they are yet to register a win, with one of their matches ending in a draw. This places them in a territory they do not want to find themselves in as they sit in a relegation spot.
The season, however, is still far from over and it's too early to press the panic button.
But early-season success has historically proven to carry sides through as the second half of the season tends to be even tougher.
Playing catch-up is something that all sides try to avoid be it during the promotion or relegation battle.

Busy Bees on the other hand secured their second win in the five games they have played so far.
While it might not be the best start to the season, the key to surviving and even making a push for promotion starts by collecting points as early in the season as possible.
