A week ago, it seemed that Busy Bees had turned a corner after a closely contested derby win against Langa RFC.

However, they couldn't follow up that victory when they hosted Gardens RFC, falling 29–17 in a match that was always going to be challenging. The visiting Gardens team appears to be in a mood set for promotion this season, having now secured wins against both Langa sides.

But it was not doom and gloom as Busy Bees had something to celebrate during their hosting of Gardens, the the women's team secured a 24–5 victory.

On paper, the women were expected to win against a team in its first competitive season that had just scored its first points.

The Busy Bees women have won all four their games in the Women's Super League B division, with CPUT being the only side that managed to score more than 10 points against them. In fact, they did not allow any points in two of their four games.

The women gave the Langa crowd something to celebrate during the full day of rugby at Langa Sports Complex. The second and third teams also managed to secure close wins, while the under-20s went down in another closely contested encounter against Gardens.
