Two former Babes United FC players have joined forces to support young football talent in Langa.
Swalala Mkhungela, a former Babes United player, noticed Langa United’s under-10, under-12, and under-14 players competing in oversized kits and even swapping them during a friendly match where his son was playing.
Concerned, Mkhungela reached out to fellow alumnus Mbulelo Ngwevela for help.
Ngwevela, through his company Tiyeka Media, donated brand‑new kits for all age groups, giving the young athletes a renewed sense of pride, confidence, and team identity.
This contribution continues a family tradition of supporting grassroots football. Mbulelo’s father, Vusi Ngwevela, has previously provided kits to the club’s little league, reinforcing the family’s long-standing commitment to developing local talent.
For Langa United’s players, the new kits are more than uniforms; they symbolize belief, unity, and the impact of former players giving back to the community that nurtured them.
