One hundred pairs of school shoes were donated to pupils at Vuyani Primary School by the Zenazi Ndinani organisation.
Eyes lit up and smiles spread across the faces of children as they were called to the front to collect their brand new shoes with each offering a grateful "enkosi".
Each hamper also included shoe polish and shoe brush, and soap and a toothbrush.
Organisation founder, Noluthando Ngumbela, said the donation highlights their ongoing commitment of ensuring that every child stays in school.
"I hope that every child that received the donation would be eager to chase their dreams. We are on a mission to make their lives better."
Parent Nomzamo Zikumbi said she was grateful for the donation.
