Dunoon artist Vaibz is a talented singer, poet, and songwriter rooted in the rich cultural heritage of South Africa.
Currently recording in Khayelitsha, his music is a soulful blend of traditional imbongi, Afro-soul, and cultural sounds, echoing the stories and struggles of his community.

Born Odwa Vaphi in Mdantsane, NU1, with roots tracing back to King William's Town, Vaibz's artistic journey began at a young age. Initially, a soccer player at 8 years old, Vaibz soon discovered his true passion for arts and music.
Influenced by the rich cultural heritage of isiXhosa, Vaibz explored his creativity through drama and poetry.
His talent was recognised early on, as his Grade 6 teacher selected him to compose a poem for a school event, which he won.
This triumph was followed by performances at high school events, where he debuted his first song, Yhini Na maAfrica.
Vaibz's musical style is a unique blend of traditional and modern elements, with a focus on amaPiano.
His discography includes notable tracks such as Sondela.
He released his debut album, featuring the talented Ntombi, which garnered attention across digital platforms.
Currently, Vaibz is working on his highly anticipated second album, collaborating with the gifted Asiphe Mtshotana.
